Known for blockbusters like Hum Tum, Fanaa, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, and more, Kunal Kohli was seen stepping out of his comfort zone for the recently released MX Original Series Ramyug on MX Player. And the director seems to have found support amongst his peers in the industry with celebrities like Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan giving the magnum opus a shoutout on their social media.

Praising the magnum opus series actor Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to congratulate Kunal. “Out now, check a story every generation must-see. Congratulations, Kunal Kohli”, read his story. Karan Johar said the series is a full family watch. He tweeted saying, “Congratulations Kunal Kohli…a full family watch…for hope, learning, and tradition in equal measure”.

Additionally, Ekta Kapoor who is known for her out-of-the-box shows was one of the first few to applaud the director, and even designer Manish Malhotra took to his social media and posted the trailer for the show.


MX Original Series Ramyug is the latest visual interpretation of the age-old story of Ramayana that uses modern technology to narrate the epic. Touted to be one of the most ambitious projects, it is the first mythological web series to hit digital screens and can be streamed for free only on MX Player.
